We find great pleasure in performing songs aimed at specific age groups or audiences. Care homes generally require carefully put together set lists, often with songs dating back to the 1940s.
We understand the impact music can have on people. It can be so powerful in terms of evoking emotions and bringing a sense of nostalgia. We find it such a privilege to be able to perform to listeners discerning of the styles of music we sing as well as to those who simply want to be entertained.
Bethan has experience of performing solo at a number of residential/care homes in Hertfordshire and is keen to find more places to sing her expanding repertoire of songs from different eras. These include old classics, well-loved show tunes and a few upbeat sing-a-long songs. Some of the favourites include: ‘Danny Boy’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ (My Fair Lady), ‘Que Sera Sera’, ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’ and ‘Jolene’.
Bethan has sung at care home Christmas parties and other special occasions, tailoring the music to fit the occasion perfectly.
